Small Place, Big Crowd

Attendance: Kim, Barby, Pork, Emp, Fred, Kei, Les, Ryan (special participation of Kim's Cavy pets - Buddha and Elizabeth)
Grub: Some chips, some Coke, some Nestea
Games played: WARMACHINE/HORDES, Guitar Hero, Bang!
Stuff on DVD: Afro Samurai, Highlander anime, Ranma Nihao My Concubine

Invite list got a bit bigger, with a great turnout, despite the sunny weather. Seeing as the guys who came were on the bottom rungs of the Summer Rampage campaign, we all celebrated Doclance's complete victory by just hanging out and enjoying pickup games and some Guitar Hero, LOL ^_^

Bang! brought out later in the afternoon (should have brought it out earlier LOL). Emp and Les rock on Guitar Hero! Pork and Fred raid Kim's FHM collection!

Game 1 750pt Invasion: Kim's Kommander Sorscha victorious over Fred's Iron Lich Asphyxious via assassination
Game 2 500pt Divide and Conquer: Emp's Lich Lord Terminus victorious over Kei's Chief Madrak Ironhide via victory points
Game 3 500pt Mosh Pit: Lesther's High Exemplar Kreoss victorious over Pork's Ashlynn D'Elysse via victory points
Game 4 500pt Invasion: Kim's Kommander Sorscha victorious over Ryan's Commander Adept Nemo via objective
Game 5 500pt No Man's Land: Emp's Lich Lord Terminus victorious over Ryan's Commander Adept Nemo via victory points
Game 6 500pt No Man's Land: Kei's Chief Madrak Ironhide victorious over Lesther's High Exemplar Kreoss via objective

Quotable quotes:

"Grabe. Malas talaga itong mesa ni Kim." - Kei, after rolling badly. Many times.

"Hindi itong mesa ang malas. Kahit nung sa isang tourney noon minalas ako. Basta merong black cloth, malas lagi rolls ko!" - Emp, after rolling badly also.

*loud insane maniacal laughter* - Pork, upon getting Indians and Gatling Gun at the same draw on Bang!

"Uy Bang! Concede na ako!" - Emp, while playing WARMACHINE with Ryan

Bang! Game 1: Sheriff (Kei) and concealed Deputy (Kim) win! Renegade (Fred) blown up by Dynamite! Outlaws (Pork and Les) Banged by Deputy sniping (hehe that big gun)

Bang! Game 2: Outlaws win as Sheriff (Kei again) blows himself up with Dynamite! Shortest BANG! game ever, LOL!

Me and Kei were chatting the other day. I plan to revive an old games-tracking mechanism in the form of a territory map. Nothing complicated like map campaigns. I just wanted to plot down wins and losses in a visual form, hence the map.

Plus, by doing so, we can create our own fiction with the results of our games. The rich background is there for use anyway, hence their IK RPG. We're just utilizing it. Who knows, our battles might actually be read by the PP people.
Anyway, I'm already fixing up the map and details which I'll be posting soon.

The venue will be fixed to the house only. I'm thinking of enforcing a no-clone-warcaster/warlock rule. I don't think the story'll look good that way. No Butcher versus Butcher. You get the idea. So far, there are a few players anyway, with good faction representation:

Kim - Khador
Ryan - Cygnar
Les - Menoth
Pork - Mercenaries
Emp, Fred - Cryx
Kei - Trollbloods

I might also play Trollbloods some time, too. And maybe some Everblight later on (Emp pahiram minsan, hehe).

Maybe a best-out-of-three match determines who wins a territory. And games don't have to be played consecutively and exclusively against an opponent. I'll just track down results like I always do and plot out the map result after 2-3 games per matchup.

But I guess a strict time limit should be enforced. Just so others can play, too. 1 hour for 500pts, 1 hour 30 mins for 750pts and so on.

Bottom line is, it's just tracking. So it's still all fun stress-free games.

I also encourage all participants to write down whatever fluff/fiction they get out of the battles.

See you on the table soon ^_^

deathjack you say??

it should always be a dead jack against our army ryan.

sikreto (or not): disrupt it with stormsmith or nemo! the lack of focus will turn it against its warcaster. har har!

kim: i'm good with that tracking system. i'm a visual kinda guy. i only learned to love numbers a little when i started playing tabletop games. lol that's not saying much btw.

Emp: meron pala tayong maling ginawa. i think you ran/charged? while your cortex was broken. hindi pala pwede yun sa normal rules, you can only utilize focus if you have a working codex. well unless your jack rules also says you can use focus even with the cortex broken. so in essence you get your focus because of the soul engine(?) but can't use it. it was still a good game. too bad we both had to leave. my mistake was to send the centurion to the other side instead of duking it out with the deathjack. :D

obi: i did better than that. na 3-hit combo ko yung deathjack nya with the lancer's shock shield and wrecked his cortex pero naghi-heal pala sya pagnakakapatay nang living models. plus he also had lots of undead fodder to keep the deathjack running. yung kay joel pala noon konti lang tao kaya inubus sya nung sarili nyang deathjack. harhar!

Regarding the Deathjack: The Skulls of Hate can produce FOC for it. But I think it can use that FOC to do FOC stuff like running or charging even without a cortex. Interesting. I'll read on that more...

oh if that's the case tama lang pala yung nangyari. :D

Found it on Quickstart rules ~ Disabled Cortex: A warjack with a disabled cortex cannot receive or use focus points.
