Instead of competitive Summer Rampage gaming, I opted to reintroduce some old friends into WARMACHINE/HORDES. On a smoldering Saturday afternoon, Ryan , Lesther, Kei and I enjoyed some WMH and Guitar Hero at home.
Ryan and Les would have arrived earlier were it not for Les' Ryoga syndrome. Kei would have arrived earlier if he wasn't caught up at work. Me and Barby had stupid headaches because of the stupid heat. To the rest, sorry I kept the invite list short. I only have a small house and I wouldn't be able to accommodate you all there. But I'll see what I can do next time, since I'm looking at fixing up the back area, too. Well, most WMH gaming was for SR anyway, puro fun games lang kami sa bahay, hehe.
All games were at 500 points, using Steamroller 3 format:
Game 1 Invasion: Kei's Madrak Ironhide victorious over Ryan's Commander Adept Nemo
- Kei won via objective, rushing towards the two control points
- Ryan fought his first HORDES battle; "Ang cheesy mo, Kei! Trollblood Champions pa lang tinitignan ko!"
- Centurion slayed DTM on one go, via massive 5 FOC attacks
Game 2 Divide and Conquer: Ryan's Commander Adept Nemo victorious over Lesther's High Exemplar Kreoss
- Ryan won via victory points at the end of the time limit (1 Knight Exemplar unit, half of the other Knight Exemplar unit, Exemplar Seneschal; Lancer)
- From YM: kreoss stayed behind two light jacks yelling "save me! save me!" in a girly wurly way.LOL
Game 3 No Man's Land: Kim's Old Witch of Khador victorious over Lesther's High Exemplar Kreoss
- Kim won via surgical assassination, combined attacks from Widowmaker snipes, Manhunter charge reduced Kreoss to 1 damage, and being charged by the Old Witch with full 7 FOC
- Snipe death all around!
- Lamentation renders Old Witch spell tactics useless

nice nice. medyo magulo talaga nung saturday coz most of the quickest routes to your house was suffering from heavy traffic. we couldn't take the UP-welcome-d.tuazon route cozy of the UPCAT. Hopefully next time going there will be way faster.
medyo nalilito pa ako sa phases and activation. i kinda get things mixed up with warhammer. lol
i think the meanderer still needs to learn how to fight with kreoss aggressivelly. sayang kasi nagtatago tago lang siya. kei's bloody champions went choot-choot train on my stormguards. i'm gonna watch out for that next time. harhar!
pwede rin siguro ako maglaro sa fortress or sa hobby haven pag weekdays though i'd favor hobby haven coz it'll be murder leaving greenhills. buhol buhol traffic dun at agawan pa sa taxi.

in my case, i give the 5 on my stormclads. three boosted pow19 up the wazooo! i was able to decapitate an ARM25(!!!) Devastator and a Juggernaut with it, and leave another Devastator armless and near-scrap. (although i still lost to arvin by a miscalculation... demmet)
i recommend you getting a journeyman. it's to cast/maintain arcane shield on your stormblades (although i prefer stormguards over them) AND give Nemo that extra focus per turn (8 total).
run your infantry away the troll champions. thats the only Cygnar approach on escaping certain death from their hands. haha. they're just plain nasty against one wound models.
i recommend getting trenchers too. they're just too cheap for the things they can do.. with a "not bad" stat line.
i have both the journeyman and the stormguards obi. i just need to learn how to use them right. last weekend saw me casting arcane bolt against exemplars thought that worked well hehe... the stormguards, i need to get acquainted with them. i failed to do a lot fo the nifty stuff that they're capable of during my match with kei.
i'll definitely get trenchers sometime in the future... along with captain fin and a grenadier! hihi. :D
Tiny used them quite nicely on one incident during the first tourney. He had the lightning jump to Fluffy's Eiryss which was very near, killing her. I think that lightning thing autohits, so not even Eiryss' high DEF mattered.

With your current build, keep in mind Nemo's advantages over the others ~ he can allocate 5 FOC on a warjack instead of 3, he can heal 2 damage per FOC spent instead of 1.
His feat is the bane of many jack-heavy builds, like Cryx ass'n lists, lists with Karchev, Darius and Amon Ad-Raza.
Most will prefer him as a secondary caster on big pointage games, but I believe he can be played tricksy enough to take on the usual builds from other factions.

ayun, tama si kim. main advantage ng stormblades/stormguards is their auto-hitting jumping lightning. so high DEF solos and units ang common targets nila.
eto peborit trick ko:
using Nemo's Accelerate spell, iL have one of my warjack (stormclad) move/run towards a unit of infantry. tapos with Nemo's Chain Lightning spell, iL target the Stormclad (back-arc pa, so +2 to hit!). POW10 won't damage much your ARM19 warjack but will most likely eliminate one-wound infantry dudes via the chain lightning effect.
You can also use the Stormblades (that are within 3" of the Stormclad) to shoot at your Stormclad to make arc lightning effects. But at POW14, medyo masakit ang range attack ng Stormblades and might actually "hurt" your Stormclad.
Also, don't forget to boost your Stormclad attacks (if ever you'L gonna use Stormclads) even if you'L most likely gonna hit anyway. Ang habol mo dito ay mag critical para magkaron ka ng arc lightning effects.
Remember though: arc lightning hits the nearest model (enemy or NOT) within 4". Kaya ingat din sa placing ng units na malapit sa titirahin mo ng arc lightning.
Mahirap mag-laro ng Nemo, really. But i know you can pull it off. 5 Focus Centurion is nasty. :D

storm clad i'll definitely get. my original config when we played at home several years ago(was it really that long?) was a centurion, hunter and stormclad. meron pa nga yata akong sword knights and/or storm swords nun eh. can't remember well.
Yep. YEARS. I've tried pimping it to you late 2005, and we tried it around early 2006. The old rankings still include our games and results.
Hitting behind your warjacks would definitely realize your "Lightning Rod" tactic. Heavy jacks are around DEF10 to DEF12. Hitting them from the rear would make it easier. So Accelerated-running a jack and engaging a high DEF enemy model would almost guarantee the lightning jump there. Positioned well, good for taking out unit leaders, too. If you're fighting me, it should take out pesky solos like Eiryss and Kell Bailoch; and the Widowmakers pretty easy.
Lightning jump also would be good if you hit a low FOC `caster or a low FURY `lock, since you can boost the damage roll for the jump on him/her. If Nemo gathered up enough FOC from enemy spells the previous turn, then you can do this a lot more. Boosted damage rolls from unusual sources will ruin a lot of enemy tactics ^_^
